Technical Perspectives Global (below)

November 12, 2007: Posted to the web site today: LY Special Feature -- What Price Oil If History Repeats Itself? -- first published in Technical Perspectives on October 31, 2007. We have been bullish on oil since late 2003, further recognizing the 2004 lift to 40 as a 24-year breakout into a new structural bull market for oil! This Special Feature was also published in welling@weeden on November 9, 2007.

September 4, 2007: Posted to the web site today: LY Stock Market Alert -- Cyclical Decline Brewing? -- issued on June 25, 2007 and included in Technical Perspectives on June 27, 2007. We are growing structurally more cautious on the technical evidence underlying the June 2007 price peak versus the lower February 2007 peak; five month divergences are coming into view.

A new Special Feature of Technical Perspectives -- An Educational Perspective on the Recent Decline -- is issued on March 7, 2007. Technical history of the equity markets is something we try very hard to keep in view, to examine, and from which we hopefully extrapolate and learn. We need to remain alert to the unexpected and, where possible, establish a safety net to guard against a worst case scenario.

  An Incredible Journey

During 2005 we experienced an incredible seven-month journey through the educational process and the seemingly insurmountable task, paperwork and obstacles of establishing an independent research entity. To emerge whole could not have been achieved without the loyal support of the members of our team throughout that period. This effort was as much to maintain the legacy of our predecessor and mentor, Alan Shaw, as it was to preserve the legacy of the profession itself. But this effort might not have been achieved at all without the constant contact from you, our readers over the years, encouraging us to do so. For all of these loyalties, we are extremely appreciative.
